About me
Greetings! I am a native speaker of English from the US, and have been living in Poland for almost 4 years. I work mainly as an English teacher, but I plan to begin studying at the university in Wrocław next academic year in the Law faculty.
Qualifications
Although I do not possess formal qualifications as a translator (yet), I have done freelance translations for several individuals in Wrocław, including people in banking and finance, as well as architecture and construction. My Polish is reasonably fluent, and I am capable of translating texts from Polish into English. I would like to make the jump into English -> Polish, but not quite yet; perhaps in a year or so.
Education
Indiana University (Bloomington IN, USA) - Bachelor's Degree in Sociology (with honors), certificates in Russian and History.
Experience
I have translated texts such as a report to shareholders in the Orbis hotel chain, meeting minutes and correspondance between a major Wrocław architecture firm and investors, and also assisted in translation and editing of reports to senior management for employees of a bank headquartered in Wrocław.

Interests
My interests include music (I studied at a conservatory prior to studying sociology), history, and football (I am a referee in the Dolnośląski Związek Piłki Nożnej Kolegium Sędziów).
